“Clean air, clean water, mental wellness and opportunity are not privileges — they are a shared inheritance.”

Our Story

Every pillar we stand on today grew out of something we learned working alongside our neighbors.

  1. A cleanup crew in matching shirts resting beside full bags of collected litter
    01

It began on the recycling floor

Sorting, baling and recovering materials — honest work that gave people a paycheck, a routine and a reason to show up.

  2. An instructor leading a training session for adult learners
    02

    Second chances became the mission

Returning citizens trained alongside us and moved into full-time recycling-industry jobs. We learned that restoring materials and restoring lives are the same work.

  3. A woman reviewing environmental data on a laptop in a field
    03

Health and environment came into focus

Neighbors asked about the air in their homes, the water from their taps and the soil in their gardens. We started teaching — and connecting them with qualified professionals.

  4. Members of a church family gathered in front of their sanctuary

    Five pillars, one restoration ministry

Today we bring counseling, environmental-health equity, green skills, community restoration and emergency readiness together under one faith-rooted roof.

Our Framework

Five interconnected ministry areas orbit one center: faith. Each informs the others — together they form a complete ecosystem of restoration for people, place and planet.

Faith at the Center

Component 1 of 5

Emergency Response & Preparedness

Faith-coordinated preparedness, incident awareness and recovery support that meets communities in their most vulnerable moments.

What this looks like

  • Preparedness training
  • Incident awareness
  • Recovery partnerships
  • Faith-led mutual aid
How We Work

Not slogans — the operating system of the ministry. Every program, partnership and investment is measured against these commitments.

1

Equity

We engage under-resourced individuals and communities who have historically borne the heaviest environmental and health burdens.

2

Continuation of Support

Seed-level solution design with continued support through validation, scale and exit — long enough to actually move the needle.

3

Proximity

We invest in leaders close to the community — people whose lived experience mirrors the neighbors they walk with.

4

Impact

We measure honestly, report the denominator and the period, and let the evidence guide what we do next.

Our Approach

Trust is built on honesty. These boundaries keep neighbors safe and keep our partners confident.

We do

  • Teach environmental-health topics in plain language
  • Offer faith-rooted pastoral care and support
  • Build green-skills pathways with employers and trainers
  • Connect neighbors with licensed and qualified partners
  • Report results honestly — with the period and the denominator

We don't

  • Diagnose medical or mental-health conditions
  • Perform environmental testing or remediation ourselves
  • Promise outcomes we cannot verify
  • Collect sensitive personal information through this website
  • List a program as available before it truly is

“We were never meant to simply manage the damage. We were called to heal it — to recycle not just materials, but lives, neighborhoods, and the very ground beneath our feet.”

Rev. Dr. Robinson founded PPRE-Forevergreen of Charlotte to bridge the gap between pulpits, workforce floors and policy tables — bringing faith communities, environmental-health professionals and green-economy employers together to restore both people and place.
